The 8 Rings of Armor Release

book Guided by Cherise

Eight Rings of Armor Release Session

A soulful unwinding of the body, the breath, and the stories you’ve been carrying.

This offering was born from a deep desire to help the body soften, the heart open, and the spirit return to its natural rhythm. It weaves together sound healing, vocal toning, tuning forks, and Jin Shin Do® acupressure — a sacred blend that supports emotional release, energetic balance, and inner restoration.

We begin with a warm cup of herbal tea — a simple, quiet ritual for arriving fully in your body. This is our moment to breathe, set intention, and gently call in whatever healing or awakening your spirit is ready for.

From there, you’ll be guided into a landscape of sound. Crystal bowls, tuning forks, and voice toning create waves of vibration that coax the nervous system into deep rest and help your mind settle into a more spacious, receptive state. As sound ripples through you, I work along the meridians of Jin Shin Do, focusing on the Eight Rings of Armor — the places where the body protects what the heart hasn’t yet released.

What Are the Eight Rings of Armor?

In Jin Shin Do, the “8 Rings of Armor” refer to the energetic and muscular bands where the body stores old emotions, protections, and unspoken stories. These rings include the eyes and forehead, jaw and mouth, throat, chest, diaphragm, abdomen, pelvis, and legs — the very pathways where expression, breath, and movement can become restricted over time.

These patterns weren’t created overnight; they were formed through years of resilience, survival, and adaptation. And now, with gentleness, they can unwind.

Jin Shin Do uses soft, mindful pressure on specific acu-points connected to the 8 Strange Flows, helping energy move through these armored segments like fresh water finding its way into long-dry soil.

Rooted in Reichian Theory

The concept of “armor” comes from Reichian theory, which teaches that the body forms chronic holding patterns — emotional and muscular “belts” — in response to stress, trauma, or the need to protect oneself. These patterns aren’t flaws; they are adaptive, intelligent responses your body formed to keep you safe.

How This Session Supports Your Healing

  • Softens the Rings of Armor: Gentle acupressure helps melt long-held tension and emotional armoring.

  • Reconnects the Body and Spirit: As Qi begins to flow, the body often reveals what it’s ready to release — offering clarity, emotional freedom, and a return to your center.

  • Honors Your Boundaries: This is a fully clothed, non-invasive session designed to feel deeply safe, supportive, and nurturing.

These rings are more than just areas of tension — they are places where parts of you learned to hold on. Through sound, breath, and mindful touch, they begin to open. You may feel spaciousness, lightness, groundedness, or a tender sense of coming home to yourself.

This session is ideal for anyone carrying emotional heaviness, feeling disconnected, or longing for a gentle way to realign with their own inner wisdom. It is a soulful journey inward — one that invites quiet healing, soft release, and a renewed sense of vitality.
