April 2 at 6pm: Pink Moon Shadow work and Archetypes
Archetypes are like the ancient characters that live inside the human psyche.
Long before psychology gave them names, our ancestors told stories about them — the Warrior, the Healer, the Trickster, the Mother, the Mystic. These characters appear in myths, dreams, tarot cards, visions, and even the roles we unconsciously play in our everyday lives.
Think of archetypes as energetic costumes the psyche puts on to help us navigate being human. Sometimes the Warrior steps forward to help us create boundaries. Sometimes the Healer appears when compassion is needed. And sometimes the Trickster sneaks in to shake things up and remind us not to take life quite so seriously.
But every archetype has a shadow side too. The Warrior can become aggressive, the Healer can become a martyr, the Mother can become controlling. Shadow work is the practice of noticing when these energies are moving through us and learning to work with them instead of letting them run the show from the dark corners of the psyche.
In a way, archetypes are the language of the soul. They speak in symbols, stories, dreams, and sometimes in the strange little synchronicities that make us pause and wonder.
So when we explore archetypes, we’re not pretending to be characters — we’re remembering the ancient patterns of being human that already live inside us.
And once you start noticing them… you’ll see them everywhere.
